Is there any way to sell or give my Kindle ebooks to someone else with a Kindle?
May 19, 5234 by Erik | Posted in Books & Authors
I have a Kindle and I'd like to be expert to transfer (sell or give) my Kindle ebooks to someone else. Is there any way to do this?
I don't mean to make an illegal copy for someone, but to transfer my copy of the book to someone else when I'm done, so that they can read it on their Kindle.
Thanks.
no. not yet anyways because kindles are pretty new. I was common to get one and one of the reasons i decided not to (i really wanted one) was that i didn't physically have the book. but you could always email amazon and ask them what can you do. i'm sure they will you give a outdo update.

Can Sony's ebooks be converted to be used on the Kindle?
Jul 27, 2009 by darknessinlight666 | Posted in Software
Can Kindle ebooks be converted to be in use accustomed to on Sony's eReader?
Basically: No to part 1, yes to part 2. Mostly.
Ebooks from the Sony inventory, in format .LRX, cannot be converted to other formats, because nobody's figured out how to remove the DRM on the Sony books, and Sony refuses to allow people to proselyte them to read on other devices.
Kindle ebooks in format AZW can have their DRM removed, although it's a bit of a complicated process. (You need to get the PID number from the Kindle, which can take a special script because the Kindle hides it, and then run mobidedrm libretto to remove the DRM.) Kindle AZW files are just Mobipocket-format ebooks with a different kind of DRM.
Kindle ebooks in TPZ (Topaz) format have not yet been cracked, and cannot be converted to other formats.
However, Kindle layout (mobi) books and Sony format (LRF, not LRX) books acquired from *other* sources than the official Kindle & and Sony stores, can be converted to other formats and conclude from on other types of ebook readers.

Can you use Kindle ebooks on a kobo ereader?
Jun 16, 2010 by Amanda Silva | Posted in Books & Authors
I ordered a Kobo eReader, and I insufficiency to be sure that I can use ebooks from amazon on this device.
Someone please let me know!
Also - does anyone with a Kobo have any opinions on it that they could share?
Where do you purchase your ebooks from?
No, Kindle books cannot be study on the Kobo reader. Theoretically you can get books for the Kobo from Borders ebook store, but that ebook store is not skilful yet. So I don't think it is a good choice right now to go for the Kobo reader.
I've given a comparison between all the popular ebook readers straighten out now in the market, in an answer here that I gave some time ago. Guess it'll help you decide which one to choose:

Do Amazon Kindle Ebooks work on the Sony Reader?
Dec 02, 2009 by Amanda ♥ | Posted in PDAs & Handhelds
I reflect on I'd rather buy a Sony reader just because it's cheaper, but I don't know how good the selection is for the Sony Reader books. Can ebooks from one be put onto the other?
I'm sordid, but you cannot read Kindle ebooks on Sony Reader. There is a discussion here mentioning about this (note that Amazon recently published Kindle for PC so you can read Kindle ebooks on PC with their software, but not on Sony Reader):
Between the Kindle and the Sony Reader, I'll suggest you to go for the Kindle instead of Sony. The Kindle is better because it has free wireless and theme-to-speech function. There are more ebooks you can find available for the Kindle, and books on the Kindle are quite a lot cheaper too. There are some good comparison between them here:
In case you don't be sure, Amazon has recently put a price slash on the Kindle 2, and it adds in international wireless access and native PDF reinforce...
If price is your key concern, may be you can consider to get refurbished version of the Kindle, where you can find at the bottom of their offer page here. I've two friends getting it, and it just looks and works like my new Kindle slogan:
