Ebook Reders Review – Get The Facts

Vest-pocket eBook readers may not be amongst the most common electronic media products – yet. They’re designed for a certain bazaar where ease is preferred for browsing books, newspapers and magazines.

As most bestselling tomes are making their way to the electronic mankind, handheld eBook readers are starting to become all the more well-liked and are even generating an impact towards the paperback industry.

The only issue is the heterogeneity of eBook readers from various sources with their own, distinctive capabilities, plus the different platforms supported.

Amazon Thoughtfully eBook Readers

In 07, the primary eBook reader from Amazon called the Kindle was launched with the idea of making e-book browsing advance.

The initial model’s display measures six inches diagonally which makes them far smaller when compared with laptop computers intention added convenience. Additionally, it supports other capabilities like Wikipedia browsing and Word files, and there is a keyboard well-grounded for this very function.

The Kindle is 3G-capable, that enables you to get ebooks in the AZW proprietary format purchased from Amazon wirelessly, as well as to get e-post wirelessly.

The Kindle weighs less than a paperback, but what’s most exceptional is its use of electronic paper technology, which helps certify the reading experience similar to that of reading a real book. Other extras involve support for TXT, HTML, MOBI, and other corroborate formats, incomplete support for PDF, a 4-color monochrome display that supports well-known image formats, and adjustable content sizes.

The accomplishment of the Kindle gave way to its successor the Kindle 2 which features a redesigned keyboard, thinner plan, text-to-speech features, and improved gray-scale screen. The newest model is the Kindle DX which includes a greater tome at 4 Gigabite, bigger 9.7 inch screen, as well as a built-in accelerometer for smooth changeover between portrait and scene modes.

NY1 communication on the Sony e-book Reader

Can you put a Word document on a sony e-book reader?

Okay so i wrote a book, unpublished as of yet, but i was wondering if, before i buy one, you can put condign normal word documents onto the sony e-book reader. anyone have any insight for me?

Sony e-book reader can frame Microsoft Word files, as you can see in the technical details section here:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000WPXQ2M?ie=UTF8&tag=moreinfo-po-20&linkCode=as2&camping-site=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B000WPXQ2M (Sony Reader sales page)

However, I'll suggest you to have the Amazon Kindle if you're account to buy an ebook reader. Not only the Kindle can read Word document, but also it can give you much wider selection of content. I remember I read these reviews when I indisputable to get my Kindle 2:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Freview%2FR2DUM7S4XW06QN%3Fie%3DUTF8%26ASIN%3DB00154JDAI%26nodeID%3D%26ref%255F%3Dcm%255Fcr%255Fpr%255Fcmt&tag=moreinfo-po-20&linkCode=ur2&coterie=1789&creative=390957

http://www.speedreaderxreview.com/kindle-2-0-vs-sony-reader-prs-700bc-comparison

And in case you don't know, Amazon has put a fee slash on the Kindle 2 and it is now $100 cheaper than the price I got mine. So it is definitely a better buy.

Hope it helps :)

I deem many ebook readers support Word document. Hm... but will you consider the Amazon Kindle?

Here is a review about it, written by a living soul who is a writer as well:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Freview%2FR28HZ3R56XQ19J%3Fie%3DUTF8%26ref%255F%3Dcm%255Fcr%255Frdp%255Fperm&tag=querystr-20&linkCode=ur2&camping-ground=1789&creative=390957

Yes, you can. Sony Reader can look over word documents (DOC file), as you can see in their sales page.

Before you make up your decision, I'll suggest you to read this article. It is written by a ourselves who has tried both Sony Reader and Amazon Kindle, and it is the best review I've ever read:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&laying=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Freview%2FR3QM7LGL62MZ4X%3Fie%3DUTF8%26ref%255F%3Dcm%255Fcr%255Frdp%255Fperm&tag=ereader-2-20&linkCode=ur2&clique=1789&creative=390957

Can I use the Sony E-book reader outside the US?

I ardour reading and I'm thinking of buying the Sony ebook reader (the touch screen) one. But I'm only here in the US until the 27th and I'll be going back to New Zealand then. Can I use it outside the US? Will I still be able to buy books from Google? Bust most importantly, will it value it to buy it? I have an Ipod touch as well. Maybe I should just stick to my Ipod touch?

Will be waiting for your answers. Thanks, guys!

Yes, you can use Sony Reader fa the US. It can work without problem. Don't read too much with ipod touch, the screen is too small and it has backlit, so it will harm our eyes if we infer from too much with it. Just imagine we reading through books with computer screen, it is definitely not good for our eyes.

Not sure if it helps, but I devotion my Kindle 2 very much. Between the Kindle and the Sony Reader, I'll suggest you to go for the Kindle instead of Sony. The Kindle is better because it has free wireless and text-to-parlance function. There are more ebooks you can find available for the Kindle, and books on the Kindle are quite a lot cheaper too. There are some good comparison between them here:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&place=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Freview%2FR3ULAFVHBGYVQP%3Fie%3DUTF8%26ref%255F%3Dcm%255Fcr%255Frdp%255Fperm&tag=moreinfo-po-20&linkCode=ur2&party=1789&creative=390957

http://www.speedreaderxreview.com/kindle-2-0-vs-sony-reader-prs-700bc-comparison

And in case you don't know, Amazon has recently put a honorarium slash on the Kindle 2, and it adds in international wireless access and native PDF support... So take the inadvertently b perhaps if you want it.

Hope it helps :)

Where can I get Sony E-book reader in Chennai?

I see that sony has not listed these gadgets in their India put. Where can I get a E-book reader? And how much does one cost me?

Sony has little the countries in which it will sell the PRS series ebook readers. Fortunately, there are other companies that make ebook readers.

I've found the MobileRead website very benevolent.

Questions about Sony E-book Reader?

Does anyone in actuality own one of these? I need to find out some information before I decide to buy one.

1. Will it only work with e-books or pdf files that have been purchased off of the sony book library?
2. If not is there a method or program I can use to catechumen them to the proper format to work on the reader?
3. Is there any good place I can download college textbooks, even torrents?

Has anyone actually done this makings? I am just wondering a textbook would even be worth reading on one of these.

1. Sony Reader can look over PDF and MS Word files.

2. I think quite a lot of ebooks are available in PDF or MS Word format. It depends on what file ilk you have but in general a lot of file format, if not protected, can be converted to PDF format.

3. I'm not sure for Sony Reader. But I actually own the Amazon Kindle and I've bought some textbooks on my Amicably device.

Actually will you consider to have the Amazon Kindle instead? There are more books available for the Kindle, and books on the Inflame are cheaper than books on Sony Reader. There is a review here for the Kindle 2 from a previous owner of Sony Reader:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&locale=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Freview%2FRKNISVK7SUXTN%3Fie%3DUTF8%26ref%255F%3Dcm%255Fcr%255Frdp%255Fperm&tag=moreinfo-po-20&linkCode=ur2&encamp=1789&creative=390957

And here is a comparison here between the Kindle and the Sony Reader:

http://www.speedreaderxreview.com/kindle-2-0-vs-sony-reader-prs-700bc-comparison

And in point of fact Amazon has recently slashed the price of the Kindle 2, and it is now $60 cheaper than the price when I get it. So it is a good fortune if you want one.

Hope it helps :)

How do I upload Music into my Sony E-book reader ? (I own the PRS-700)?

How do I upload Music into my Sony E-book reader ? (I own the PRS-700)....I don't create that it matters which device I'm using because most sony devices of the same platform share the same methods of storage...

Umm, I value you can try going to the sony website and see if you can find anything that helps, but usually I just plug in my sony mp3 with the computer and then just drag the music into the right folder.
Expect this helps!
