Ignore amazon,
go to ebay, you can get brand new childrens books for a fraction of the cost.

Okay, what they both said.
I over persuaded on both Amazon and eBay (and I have some beautiful children's books I plan to list soon on eBay).
eBay is good because you may be able to get a "lot" of books and/or incorporate shipping/handling. If you purchase from multiple vendors on Amazon, the shipping and handling can get you.
Still, Amazon does have a number of books that are buy 3 get the 4th free and they proposition super saver shipping. I'm a Prime Amazon person, so I don't pay for 2 day shipping (though I do pay a yearly fee for the privilege).
Seriously, if I knew what you were looking for, I might be of some relief. Selling books is what I do now (meandchase) and I am surrounded by books that haven't made it on-line yet for various reasons. I can give you more info if you'd like.
Also, you could try the eBay department Want It Now. It doesn't cost you anything and potential sellers will link their product to your want.

Aug 24, 2007 by curius_grl | Posted in Other - Advertising & Marketing
I hankering to create a website that would have links to Amazon books. I am wondering how it all works.
you get some 8% of the value. 0.5%-1% (at usually) is the percentage of visitors to your website who will click tha amazon link. and you will definetly not become rich by beeing amazon afiliate ...unles you dream up a real teaser and make visitors eager to buy the book instantly. Good luck

how can I find out which books are the most cited by other books on Amazon.com?
Jun 14, 2007 by joseph z | Posted in Books & Authors
for admonition I have found that about 8000 books cite 'The origin of species' by Charles Darwin according to Amazon, and I am interested to know if any books on Amazon are cited by more than that and which books have nearest etc, basically I demand to order the books on Amazon by the number of other books on Amazon that cite those books to find which books have been the most 'influential' in recent history.
The citations section is usually just below the 'Inside This List' section of any Amazon book page, it is usually uniform in its layout etc, so perhaps I can interrogate it with a special query in the search? or would I have to use some amiable of Web API like AWS?
any info or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers.
im undeviating there is a rating system on there.

Ordered books from Amazon - shipping dates keep getting changed?
Jul 14, 2008 by ♪ghetto momma bear ♪ | Posted in Books & Authors
Hello!
In June I ordered 3 books from Amazon.com. They said the books would up August 6th. Just yesterday I looked again and the arrival date changed to August 13th-16th? Has this happened to anyone else and do you usually get your Amazon books earlier than the estimated old?
Oh. One of the books was a preorder and the other two are already out but are being shipped with the preordered book.
I never knew Amazon was like that!
I mainly get the books earlier than the estimated arrival date when I'm ordering from Amazon, itself, as opposed to an Amazon seller.
However, when you are preordering a book, you have to change the shipping from "ship together" to deliver as it arrives or as available. If you don't do that, then the books that are already published will not be sent to you until the preordered books are available to ship.
When preordering a book, you may find that the publishing beau changes. In a case like this, Amazon is not at all responsible. They can only ship when it becomes available. However, if you've checked the option to ship in one order, you will have to hang about to receive your items until all the preordered items are available to ship.
You can, however, change your shipping options. To do this, you have to go into your account. This can be bloody-minded. One time this happened to me, and I had to cancel the entire (very long) order and reorder each item - making sure that I clicked on quit as available (or something to that effect). That way the preordered items did not hold up the rest of the order.
