Where can I get cheap textbooks for students?
Jul 31, 2006 by letmebedenise | Posted in Other - Education
I was wondering if anybody knew how I could get cheap textbooks for clique? I am on a tight budget.
I found a few tips that you can use to preserve money on textbooks:
1) Get your list of required textbooks handy and search for them online at your college library. Generally speaking, the college library has to conduct at least one copy of the books that professors use in class. If you are lucky, you might be able to borrow it for a week or two.
2) Try the same thing at your city’s unconcealed library. You would be surprised how many books you can find like that.
I hope this helps!

What is the best wbsite for buying cheap textbooks?
Jul 16, 2008 by Eric E | Posted in Higher Education (University +)
At most like the question says, what websites have you used in the past to buy the cheapest textbooks? And the ones that you think were the most reliable? Thanks!
The first place to find the cheapest books online is a price comparison site such as campusbooks.com. They break all the books down by new, reach-me-down, rental, ebooks and international editions.
You can then determine which merchant you want to buy from and you are taken directly to that merchants website. The servicing is completely free.
Now to determine which merchant is a bit more difficult. Sites such as Amazon and Half are marketplace websites which means you are buying from another seller and solely using that site to complete the transaction. Typically on a marketplace site the return policy is limited to the proviso of the book or misrepresentation.
If you think you may drop the course then you may want to look at a site such as Textbooks.com or TextbooksNow.com who sell inventory they horses. The return policy is a bit more liberal.
