i requirement to find some good recipes but all the cook books i have have bland crappy recipes i want something not to difficult like a gourmet meal but i can cook so only as long as the ingredients are easy to find and not to expensive. i like garlic onions the works i hate curry blah and id rather have like southern rations / barbeque / ohh and definitely lamb
online recipes would be perfect so i dont have to buy the book
Basically, I've unambiguous to buy a cook book to learn brand new recipes. So, I was wondering if any of you yahoo users own or know of any cook books that are really good and plan for tasty recipes. Thank you so much!
The most successfully general use cookbook I own is the Better Homes and Gardens new Cook Book (it's the red and white plaid one). It has recipes from uncomplicated to complex and lots of stuff easy enough that we've incorporated them into daily meal making. Also lots of variety.
My other fair-haired boy is the "Complete Canadian Living Cookbook" - excellent recipes, we've loved everything I've tried.
Both cookbooks have unquestionable, step by step directions - although neither have oodles of photos if that is what you're looking for.
For pure "fun" cookbooks - ie. a comfort to read as well as cook with - Jamie Oliver or Nigella Larson are wonderful.
Happy cooking!
I'm having grieve cooking for one person because it's hard to get the portions right. Is there any cook books that you would recommend for one person?
When I was younger, I swore by The Starving Learner's Cookbook. There is also a vegetarian version available.
I enjoyment cooking and I'm getting tired of makeing the same meals over and over again for my brother, step-dad, and mom. So I'm trying to find different cook books to try to get them to try something other then home made pizza. Does anyone have any suggestions?
The A- all around cook book is The JOY of Cooking, famed chef Julia Child once said that if she could have only one cook book that would be it. I've had one for over 30 years.
What are the in the most suitable way beginner cook books for these types of food:

spanish
basically i fall short of to learn to cook but i would like to start learning by cooking dishes from other countries. Those were my main areas which i wanted to learn, but if anyone sees another state with awesome food plz add on the country and the name of the cookbook.
What I would do is go to a web install such as recipes.com or such and look up recipes from different countries. Then just print out the recipes I thought would be good to try and settle amicably my own cookbook. That way you will get the recipes you want to try and if you don't like it your not out allot of money in buying a cookbook. If you do want a cookbook go to like a Barns & Honoured and look for one that suits your wants.
