Two different versions of Quickbooks on the same computer?

Can you have two differnet versions on QuickBooks on the same computer? Bride does volunteer work for two different non-profit organizations. One uses QuickBooks Pro 2008 the other uses QuickBooks 2009 Accounting. She would like to do some of the employment at home.
Yes. Count on the data files in two different folders. The only thing to be careful of is to make sure the 2008 file doesn't get opened to the 2009 program - this will upgrade 2008 and she won't be expert to downgrade. As long as the data files are in two different folders it shouldn't be a problem.

Does Quickbooks automatically take out the Grandeur ,federal , and social security taxes out of a check that you make for your employees? If so, is that it? You dont have to worry about taxes until the end of the year and send out a W-2?
Quickbooks does not do anything outmatically.
If you motion up for Quickbooks payroll service, you have to set up the employees and the deductions and Quickbooks does the work because it has the tax tables (which is why you pay for the service)
You have to pay (and worry) the taxes that are witheld from the staff member's check and match the employer portion of the social security . You must do this a minimum of monthly usually. You do the becoming tax forms and either pay online or send in a check.

What's the difference between Quickbooks Pro and Quickbooks Premier?

I am looking into buying Quickbooks 2008. There's a big value difference between the 2 versions, what is the difference? I don't want to pay for features that I am not going to use.

Everytime I go to go after for a job, one of the requirements is to have experience in Quickbooks. I have never heard of this application and I am a college student. One of the employers suggested that I learn it on my own. So how would I go about doing that? Please cure!
Quickbooks is a mammoth software that alot of business's run on today. It is very user friendly and once you start on it, it comes very easily. I am a self taught QB's narcotic addict and have taught my assistant some of the ins and outs of it. What really helped me was that I use QUICKEN for my personal checkbook. It's not real expensive and it helps me run to earth my loans and checkbook. I'd suggest buying it if you need some experience PLUS you will get a reliable program to help with your intimate finances.
Also, some local college business's offer night classes and summer classes to learn QB's. Inspect out a local school and see if they off it. Also, if there is anyone in your community that holds classes on it. (we have a place that holds small workshops).
Good stroke of luck and if you are computer literate, you will learn QB's fast.
