Which is better to sell books, on Alibris.com or Abe.com?

I'm hep of other sites and already use ebay and amazon. I'm only referring to the comparision between these two sites.

I have only in use accustomed to www.half.com or www. amazon.com. Check these out also!

I have only tempered to www.half.com or www. amazon.com. Check these out also!

is there a site to buy cheap books similar to alibris.com based in australia??

i was reasonable looking at http://www.alibris.com/ its really good, it has all the books that i cant find here for about $2, trouble is that shippings like $14 a book to Australia which persuasion of defeats the purpose....

You could try http://www.fishpond.com.au/ They are based in New Zealand (which is why its cheapish for Australians) and they cart leave to Australia and if your order is over $50 the shipping is free. If its under $50 it costs $5.99.

They are pretty good. I have been using them for the quondam 4 years now and have only had a few problems that had nothing to do with fishpond and everything to do with Australia Post.

You should give it a go and see if the books you want are cheaper.

Other books sites like Alibris?

Hey, are there any other book sites that are a bit more updated than Frugality books, but more reliable than Alibris? If not thanks anyway.

Come with the first post suggestions. I usually use Amazon.com (and sell there as well). If you're buying a lot of new books, you may be eligible for super saver shipping (which is relaxed) unless purchasing from individuals who list their books on Amazon. I also have listings on Alibris. Most prices and postage/handling choices are correspond to there, though I think they do offer a discount on shipping if purchasing more than one item from same seller (they do this on Half.com).

A good place to see some of the online sites is to use the bookfinder.com search apparatus and check out available book listings there. They are listed by site and price. One way to compare prices as well as availability without having to search every which way. Click on one you are interested in and it takes you speedily to the listing.

Barnes and Noble also sells online and I have used eBay and half.com. If you're looking to buy a group of books, some sites are haler about combining postage/handling. That can be a killer on Amazon if you are buying from private sellers.

Have you had a lot of cancellations? Or are the books poor importance? Definitely check out feedback for individual sellers. And if you have a problem, return it and get your money back (if it's a seller problem, you shouldn't be paying postage/handling, either).

If you destitution to check out something different, maybe join one of the bookswapping clubs online. I do PBS and have had great experiences. You list some books and warrant a credit. When someone requests a book from you, you must mail it free of charge to the receiver. This in turn earns you another credit, and you can pick out a book listed as well. You can maintain a wish list, too. I recently had one of my wish list books become available, so looking onward to a new read. This isn't the best place if the book you want is newly published since there will be a lot of people who also want it, but great substitute for readers and fun, too!

P.S. Yes, I think Amazon did purchase Abebooks. Also, I know some sellers list their books on multiple venues, sometimes the same head and copy for different prices, so when buying you might want to compare if you're talking big prices.

is there tax or shipping at alibris.com books??

For sample it doesn't tell you the tax and shipping when you check out a book.. http://www.alibris.com/booksearch.detail?invid=9240428106&qcond=6&qwork=9859711&qsort=p&number=1

does anyone know if the tax/shipping is included there??

Yes, both those are charged at the end. They will only responsibility tax if their distribution center is in your state.

is alibris.com books a legitimate website?

would it be alright if i were to use a attribute card to buy a book on this website or are their many scammers on their...idk so i'd like to hear yalls opinion....thank you

yes I bought several books there for high school cheaper than on campus
