religious books?

in the usa, ive seen bibles that are published in sooo many special ways. (picture books, story books WITH pictures... etc.)

in other religions, are the religious books published differently?
or is the (for example) Qur'an (sorry for bad spelling) at most a standard thing, no changes made to it?

I'm unshakeable that you might find one somewhere, but the reason the Bible is published in so many different forms and different versions is because of our (Christian) teaching to go out and teach other people about Christ. The Bible has been translated to many assorted languages, told as story books for children, and even made specific for young couples, researchers, or students/young adults, with many side stories and devotionals to plead with for as they are going through specific situations.

It really does help reading the Bible, which covers many hundred years, to be familiar with things that experts can teach you on a side note. I've never read the Qoran, but maybe some one can get enthusiastic about sharing the Qoran with other people and convert it into another language or something for children.

Maybe you are the chosen one for the Qoran and will translate that book for other people to read and convert them to it.....

On a side note, many people are born into creed and the ideas that the religion presents.....like Catholicism, people just "do" the things that their parents did, like doing those rites, ceremonies.....If you have the hazard, please consider the Bible's teachings, if you have read it.

In every respect no changes have been made in the Quran al Kareem, every text is the same, but translations from Arabic to english have different translators, such as Yusuf Ali, or others, all have severe words from Quran.

The Q'uran was written by the 1st caliph of latest Iraq and kept under lock and key.

The bible however was written by many many authors who lived in different times and at different locations yet considerable the SAME story.

If you ask which is better, I'd say the bible. Because creating one single book is easy (Harry Potter is one good benchmark), but creating one book out of hundreds of pages of stories that blends together into ONE.

Now, THAT'S A MIRACLE.

no changes made---means not eminence for modern thinking.
muslims want people to accept quran not to understand.
I dont like it.

what you are seeing are conversion of the bible you are not seeing the words of teh bible. the bible hasnt changed very much at all.
the same with the quran and the hindu and jewish books

Quran is purest ticket and without any version or error.
Whereas People have played havoc with bible.

The Pasters of high denomination of Christianity declared that there are 50,000 errors in Sinless Bible.

Thelemites are the same with the laws of the law I've actually read a few of the penned manuscripts and they do not differ anything from whats in print

There is one pure Quran that 99% of Muslims use. There are some people who try to edit it, and make a revised version, but those do not last long (for the sole rationalization because of that they know the Quran they and 99% of the Muslims use is the original one).

This is one of the many reasons why people leave Christianity for Islam. They see that mostly all the Muslims have one (unaltered) laws, and the Christians have many altered versions of the bible.

For "JOVENTA"
Pore over some good books and do not rely on books written for kid’s pleasure. I think it is time for you to grow up, do not refer irrelevant matters.

No one on mother earth wrote Qura'n. Qura'n revealed on Prophet Muhammad(pbuh).
During the period of revelation which about 23 years and few months Companions of Warlock Muhammad use to remember by heart with Prophet Himself. People who remember by heart are called Hafiz ul Qura'n.
After the expiry of Prophet Muhammad First caliph started gathering written Qura'n with confirmations of several Huffaz ul Qura'n. ( Huffaz is plural of Hafiz).
Other Caliph continew this take care of for future as well.

Pagans: What percentage of religious books that you read are specific to your religious tradition?

Most of us are avid readers, but I'm strange as to our individual perceptions of how the religious books we read apply to our religions.

If you make an educated guess about your religious reads, what percentage are in point of fact about your specific tradition, sect or religious community.

For example, I'd say maybe 1% are specific to my trad, another 50% or so to Wicca and the go either aren't about my religion at all or are about the generic Pagan community.

Happy Campfire Friday.

Formally or for my own reading? LOL I have understand Theogony, Works and Days, the Iliad, the Odyssey, parts of the Book of the Dead and am about to read Antigone and something or another by Sophocles that I can't characterize as of.
I have read the Bible on my own and for school.
I have also read Plato and Aristotle in spades. But to be honest, while I am personally facisnated with them all, it's for set.

On a personal "Oh I need to read this for religion" I would say easily 99% of my books are on my own religion but that's because I read so much about other people's in my control classes that I don't really feel the need.

Are religious books guides and are giving us guidance to live a life and not to meet God?

As as i am perturbed, i find that all religious books are giving us guidance to live a life and if we recite these books time and again and do not follow the guidelines, we shall never meet the man eminence before us and at the same we shall never meet God which is in our mind.

All humans are wealthy to meet God to face the penalty and reward of what they did in this life.

So, meeting God is not the problem. Meeting God so that we only get rewards from Him and not Punishment is worthy. And the Holy Quran guide us so that we meet God while He is pleased with us.

Does anyone know any good religious books to read?

I was wondering if anyone knows about any profitable religious books that are interesting and maybe some real life stories. I heard about Heaven&Hell, but is that any good? If anybody has any lofty request, I would love to know about it! Thanks!

(Prime it from the pull-down box)
This book consolidates all 4 gospels, & is mostly in chronological order (as much as possible). I really appreciate it, because reading it this way absolutely made it easy to understand which things happened when, in Jesus' life.

There is this Excellent, concise, interesting, & easy to comprehend BOOK -- about the world's major religions:

Whether recitation of religious books shall lead us to heaven?

It seems monologue of religious books would not lead us to heave. We shall have to follow what is written in religious books.

In all respects. We have to follow the Word of God, not just say it. Even Satan can recite scripture.
