Looking to buy the Phillips and it says it plays music cd's but are they the same as audio reserve cd's?

Yes. They flatter the same as a music CD.

Like if you got an audio order, or a box set what is it likely to have in it? the CD, maybe a flyer about the book/author?? what else might it have?
halp !

It's a recording of the full main body text of the book including the material on the dust jacket of the original book. Usually they tell you the copyright figures, total number of pages and chapters. In the box there might be some information about the reader (in the case of the reader being a celebrity, like Kenneth Branagh) or not.

Can I get a regular CD player to listen to audio books on CD?

I have a cohort who has poor vision. I want her to listen to some audio books but I do not know what type of player to get her. Is there a special player for audio books? Where is a good prosper to get audio players online or in philly? Please help me.

Get a CD better that can play MP3 CD's, too. Audio books are often 10-15 CD's, but ripped to MP3 can fit on just a couple CD's. Also a lot of downloadable books from libraries are now available in MP3, too.

Maybe a cheap MP3 Thespian would do as well, something like the Creative Zen Stone which doesn't have a display so it can be worked poor/no vision. Players with displays often are almost weird to use if you can't see the display -- too much "click until you see such and such."
