My nephew loves the X-Men and wants to start reading them.I have knowledge of there are many different versions of the X-Men series, but which one is the best to start off with? I would like to get him something with Wolverine, Cyclops, and Shadowcat because those are his favorite characters. :)
Hi,
The most amateur series has always been 'The Uncanny X-Men' published since 1963. Wolverine and Cyclops feature alot throughout the 500 odd issues. I would advance you can't go wrong getting him a few of these,
Cheers

Where in the morld do i start if i want to read the x-men comic books?
Apr 06, 2009 by Meg<3 Edward Cullen<3 | Posted in Comics & Animation
I lately watched all the movies and i loved them. My friend suggested reading the cominc books, but im very confused on where to start because there are so many of them and many different versions. I privation to read the ones that have the movie characters in them. Help!
Astonishing X-Men...it's only about 25 issues old so it should be docile to find the individual issues.
And if you can find them in reprints, The Uncanny X-Men issues by Chris Claremont and John Byrne...it's old school X-Men...but those issues are classics.
You don't have to get all the discrete X-Men comics...don't buy into the hype and the greed....just get those issues that rock for you.

Feb 23, 2138 by Luis | Posted in Comics & Animation
okay i need to start reading x men comic books, but there are so many different verisons...uncanny X-men Ultimate X-Men Astonishing X-Men X-Men Evolution. why r there so many different verisons? which account came out first? where can i buy them? please help!
X-Men are one of the most lionized comic book series so you can buy them at any comic book store.
-Uncanny X-Men, came out first. Only feature Xavier and his 5 X-Men. They fought Magneto.
-Astonishing X-Men, new roster, created after the unprecedented series was canceled. Featured X-Men from a lot of different countries, Wolverine (Canada), Nighcrawler (Germany), Storm (Africa), etc. This comic order series was the one that made the X-Men popular
-X-Men evolution is a cartoon tv show
-Ultimate X-Men, current series, new storylines, X-Men are younger and there is more violence

Does anybody know where I can read x-men comic books online?
Feb 23, 5908 by eli | Posted in Comics & Animation
I insufficiency to read the very first x-men comic books. They are way to old to be be in comic book stores which is why I'm trying to find a website where I can read them online. Any suggested ones? Besides, Marvel.com. I lust after them for free.....
I'm incredibly sure there's no legal free copies, and distributing pirated copies is against Yahoo's terms of service.
However, while it's not uninhabited, the DVDROM of "40 Years of X-Men" is pretty cost-effective:
Is there a good website for information from the X-men comic books and TV cartoons?
