Normal--
"Kiss the Girls" (although watch out for the snake scene-- it's a bit hardcore *shudder*)
and "Along came a Spider"
I also counsel you try the Patricia Cornwell audio books too.

i would say anything that has alex irritated in it

I truly enjoyed the early James Patterson novels, but now he isn't even writing them. he has a staff to do that. he's strictly an editor, or chief of the editorial staff.
That being said, I did like "Along Came A Spider"
Spoon The Girls
Jack and Jill
and the other Alex Cross mysteries, up to, but not including, "The Big Bad Wolf."
I also in the final analysis enjoyed "The Jester" set during the Crusades.

James Patterson book fans where are you?
Jan 30, 2009 by Ms. Drea' | Posted in Books & Authors
I became a James Patterson fan when I lend an ear to (audio CD) Honeymoon. I work at a desk and work on a computer all day. Stop by my local library and picked up a James Patterson audio CD and became a FAN!! I love the Honeymoon. I've listened to all of them...except Annoyed Country and the new Murder Women club book..... Ohh I also love Step On A Crack....
So whats you favorite James Patterson blockbuster...
He's coming out with a issue to Step On A Crack called Run For Your Life - it's being released very soon. In the next week or so.
I enjoyed Honeymoon, as well. My first book that I scan by him is Roses are Red - and I became an instant fan of the Alex Cross series. His most recent one in that series, Cross Country, was completely unique from the other books in the series, for better or for worse. You decide.
My favorite is Sail. There was just something about that book that literally kept me captivated from opening to end.

What are the best detective series out there on audio books?
Oct 27, 2006 by Dave S | Posted in Books & Authors
I've listened to Spenser and Alex Go across (Authors Robert Parker and James Patterson respectively). What other good detective heros are out there that's great to listen to?
Janet Evanovich and her "One for the In clover" series. There are two different readers and one is way better than the other. I think the good one is Cherry Jones.
I also like the Agatha Raisin books but can't reminisce over who wrote them. Stuart Woods (author) has some good books out there too. The Nero Wolfe series by Rex Stout is excellent. Ellery Star stories tend to be pretty good.

Does anyone have any good suggestions for audio books for my husband and I to listen to on a road trip?
Jan 29, 2008 by heathergcsu | Posted in Books & Authors
We like ambiguity and thrillers. I have listened to most all of James Patterson's novels already and love them, so I am looking for something like that!!!!
Our favorites are Carl Hiassen's novels (not infallible I spelled his name right). They're mysteries of a sort, but with crazy characters and bizarre situations. They can also be a little raunchy. But the humor is wonderful and unqualifiedly makes the miles fly by.
