Poetry books???

I unprejudiced read a few poems out of the book A Heart Full of Love by Javan and I wonder are there any poetry books by any other authors that are similar to that or that have a deep(er) gist to them that refers to feelings? Thankyou for your participation
You might try an anthology edited by Robert Bly, The Rag and Bone Workshop of the Heart. Since from your other question, I gather you are looking for some authors, an Anthology will give you a good look at quite a few different poets.

What are some Legitimate poetry contest or some poetry books to submit a poem to?
Nov 04, 2008 by Christy M | Posted in Poetry
I wrote a rhyme about the death of my young child. Everyone keeps telling me to enter it into poetry contest. I recently submitted it to a book and am awaiting a rejoin. This is a poem that really means a lot to me and I do not want to get scammed or anything. Can you please just give me name of websites or poetry books to submit my poem to. All information is greatly appreciated. Express you!
You might wish to consider submitting to magazines rather than to books. The book "Poet's Market" (your local library might have a mimic) is full of information about journals that publish poetry.

You can also find out about online poetry magazines at this site:
Contests are perhaps not a good bet for you. Most of the legitimate ones charge entry fees and select only a small number of winners (often only one), whereas magazines, both type and online, choose quite a number of poems from those they receive in each submission period.

Do poetry books usually have a main theme?
May 19, 2344 by Stephen R | Posted in Poetry
So, do most poetry books have a paper that all of the poems center around? Are there good books that are more like just collections of an author's poems?
They are often interrupted down into sections of common theme, and sometimes they are all about one theme. If you want to read a variety of themes by one author, usually pickeing up a "flawless works of..." is a great way to go.

Anyone have any good poetry and/or books for a 16 year olds?

I'm 16, female, and I'm looking for poetry books that are about individual in different aspects, something modern, bright, passionate, inspiring, and wonderfully written. I write poetry, nothing serious, but recently I've rendered helpless depression and have come to love my life. Poetry makes my day, so do you suggest a good book? Or a writer that you know writes those indulgent of poems. Also, any good book that falls under this category? No Twilight, thankyouverymuch.
Billie Collins is in all probability the most popular poet writing today. He doesn't take himself too seriously or write in an archaic style, but rather, modern unimaginative language. Sample some of his poems here:
