They're both incredibly popular, and are big among all ages. The people who compare them are usually the ones who don't care as much about the answers to the questions I answered 'no'. They place their thoughts on the story, characters, writing level etc.
Personally, I think Twilight is the farthest thing from the book of the century. My stuffed shun could produce something of higher quality.
Harry Potter, on the contrary, is, if anything, some of my most favorite books.
I have not review the books in either series, however I have seen both in movie. Harry was better than Twi, only because there was more "action" , more to keep you suspensed. Twilight is a more "laid back" cinema. Both were good movies, don't get me wrong but you cannot compare the 2 at all.

Well I muse over there both good. But harry potter probley made more because there are 5 movies (almost 6) and 7 books. Twilight has 1 movie and 4 books. So there fore Harry Meddle with has made more. But twilight is still good, and so is Harry Potter. I enjoyed both series.

But, although JK Rowling is a much better writer, I find Stephenie Meyer's stories to be more comic. Harry Potter bores me.

I've been a elongated time fan of both until recently, when i realised the Twilight series is really badly written. Have you seen how many dashes (-) she uses? It's wild. But apart from that one annoyance, J.K.'s stories are infinitely superior in construction, character, language use... basically EVERYTHING.
They should not be compared because Twilight is not in Harry's combination. While the Twilight books have redeeming qualities (i admit to being a big fan for a long time), they are mainly in the characters. The story lines are dull-witted, and the characters - brilliant in the first book - completely lack growth and development. Plus Bella is so damn whiny and annoying.
The books should not be compared to the movies for either series though. They are full of inconsistancies, mistakes and disgusting casting/acting (not so much for HP, but don't get me started on the new Dumbledore). Twilight was low budget, with poor visual effects and worse acting, and although i angel RPatz, they were stupid to try and create the Cullen family. How can you pick actors to play creatures that are supposed to be impossibly, wonderful-humanly beautiful? You can't, and they shouldn't have tried, it only ruined it.

Can an adult enjoy the Twilight book series?
I have deliver assign to and truly fell in love with the Harry Potter series, and I can't seem to find another book that even compares with it. I searched other questions on here, and everybody seems to suggest the Twilight series, but can an adult dig it as much as they can Harry Potter?
I am 24 and lover the series. I recommended them to several of my older co-workers in their 30s and they have also enjoyed the books. I feel the book has a wide appeal to all ages.

I relish the Harry Potter and Twilight book series, but I've fnished both and I could use anohter series. Can anyone suggest a good book series that is kind of like these but not clones.

I as a person had never heard of the series until a friend of mine, who was re-reading Twilight, said they were making a movie from the first book. Has the series been as popular as it is now since it got published? Or did it only get all this publicity/popularity when it was announced that a talking picture was being made?
I dislike the series, but I always wonder when this almost blinding amount of fangirls/boys started
