This is a commentary on Realism and Naturalism and is intended for informative use only.

What is Regionalism in American Literature?

I am referring to regionalism in American literature and the drift specifically in Mark Twain's "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn".

Best answer will be prearranged to the person who can give a quote from the story in order to back up the regionalism.

Regionalism refers to the varying styles seen in writers from the North, South, and West. Southern writers would group the likes of Faulkner and McCarthy. Northern would be Hawthorne, Melville, and Poe. Western would be Twain and Steinbeck. The writers picture their regions.
