My oldest lass is in 2nd grade and she is in an AR reading group. I would like to find books for her reading level online that I don' t have to pay for. Please help me help her. Thanks Ronnie.

There are some major books available online for kids to read, but I am not sure how easy they will be to find "by grade level," per se....
Regardless, if you have authors, titles, or series in affronted by, books.google.com is an excellent resource. Some of the texts are copyrighted, however you can do a search for "full view" books only.
Also, lookybook.com is a active resource for picture books.

What is a good homeschooling programs online and books?
Apr 09, 2008 by donnyandmelissa@att.net | Posted in Home Schooling
For a 7 year old. Who is currently in notorious school but reads and does math at a 2nd-3rd grade level.
I see lots of different programs I feel overwhelmed.
Is there a milieu that gives me the refresher courses I need because I never went to college I am just a Stay at home mom .
Is there anything online that compares unlike homeschooling companies?
Please look at my other questions in the homeschooling section of yahoo answers. I am seperating the questions because I fall short of to give lots of best answers!
Go get Cathy Duffy's "100 top picks". It has a lot of gargantuan info in it on what to pick for your child's personality and learning style and a lot of info on what is in each curriculum. Homeschooling is trial and wrongdoing, we seldom do EVERYTHING the same from year to year, and sometimes we find things that are AWESOME!!!. Sonlight curriculum has a great return means if you are not happy with something too. I pick and choose from different curriculums, I also try to focus on what me kids are interested in, there are some great Unit studies out there. Do not let it overtax you, your child WILL learn regardless of what you do!

Is there any way to read the book "The Boxcar Children" by Gertrude Chandler Warner online?

My daughter is reading it in 2nd grade and she forgot her book at dogma, I just need to read a few of the pages with her tonight...Is there some kind of website that I can find the book on not to purchase but just to understand? Any Help or advise would be great. Thanks.
OMG thanks you so much. For about a year now I was trying to remember who wrote the books I read when I was in grammar school. I couldn't think of any titles or the initiator and you have done both for me, Thanks. Hope you found a way to read it.

I need help finding reading activities online for my 8 year old daughter....?
Jun 24, 2007 by lisamarie_625 | Posted in Primary & Secondary Education
My 8 year old daughter is struggling with reading. She passed 2nd grade but we were told that she unquestionably needs to work on her reading over the summer and try to move up a couple levels to be on a 3rd grade level...we were also told that if a child is going to be held back it's mainly in the 3rd grade. What can we do??? Im not a teacher....i have the books for her to read...she's just not interested in reading....so i was thinking that i should be able to find some fun reading games online to support. Does anyone know of any good reading websites for an 8 years old going into the 3rd grade??
Thanks so much!!
lisa
Not online, but there are eager self teaching books at barnes and noble in her range, they're very colorful and fun, the Kumon line.
You might want to just result her loose in there and tell her she can have ANY book she wants to read... you could be surprised what she picks out. (I wouldn't decipher anything but horse books, period, until I was 12.)

2- is there a plot that i can read books online??
3- THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BOOKS!there is this guy that keeps staring at me whenever he can...during class or in the hall...ifhe aint staring he is showing off....i am 13 he is16..,,,i am girlish for mygrade and he dropped out...so we are in the same grade.....during class he stares at me if someone goes infront of him he will shift so he can stare somemore......on the 2nd dat of dogma we had to interveiw eachother...he knos all about me and i kno all about him....hehas been to jail....i am getting creeped......do u entertain the idea he likes me or just being creepy....what is you oppinion on the situation?.....what should i do???
thx for yourhelp
i like series books
he was in penitentiary....u kno like if u ar cought vandilizing or something the cops will arrest you and call your parents to pick u up.....i dont kno why he went
Series that might interest you :
1-Megan MCafferty's series : Soppy Firsts, Second Helpings, Charmed Thirds..my neice is 14 and loves those books.
2- yes, but you have to pay for most of them with a credit card..I haven't found any sites to download books for outspoken (yet) but if you google in "e-books" there will be an array of websites to choose from.
3- 16 and in jail = trust your intuition and consider pros and cons. You are still teenaged but it's important that you look at all factors before getting too involved.
