What are some bookshelves alternatives for a 5'0" person?
May 19, 6244 by Jaime | Posted in Decorating & Remodeling
I'm in the final analysis short like 5'0" and I need some alternatives to bookshelves. I don't want anything too tall or too complicated to assemble. I even-handed need a place to put away my books and dvds.
Barnes & Esteemed sells these "Invisible book shelves" that just screw right into the wall (at whatever level you want) and you just stack 10ish books on them and you can put up as many as you want, but honestly, i'm 5'0" and there are some very easy to assemble diminished bookshelves. Most of the shelves in our apt dont go higher than my waist.

Where is the best place to buy bookshelves?
Mar 15, 2009 by Jamie W | Posted in Decorating & Remodeling
I remain in southwestern Virginia. Here's the situation: we keep all of our books and CD's in our spare room. We currently have three really bad cheapy-type bookshelves that do not approve of all of our stuff. I have about 2 whole 5-tiered bookshelves worth of books lying around that need to be organized. I need to either consolidate into a bigger bookshelf or get more smaller ones. I have no pointer anymore as to where the best place to buy the shelves would be. Please help :)

Are there good ways to access power outlets behind bookshelves without cutting through the bookshelf?
Feb 03, 2008 by Rick | Posted in Decorating & Remodeling
I went with a cross approach. I bought power strips and plugged into the sockets. Then I bought "feet" for the shelf to inflate it up 5 inches. I now have the best of both worlds.
run an extent lead from socket behind shelves so you can plug or unplug leads when you want. only catch is that you will have to leave permanently on behind shelves.
Riddle solved.
