Before selling your books for $5-$10, you should see what they are honestly worth.
Try www.bookjingle.com. This website will make an instant offer on your books. If they are buying the book, they will then provide a unfettered shipping label. They normally pay within 48 hours of receiving your books.
I hope this helps.

$5-10 sounds low to me unless it's an old printing that hardly anyone is buying back. I think you should get 30%-50% of what you paid for the book new. I've sold books to TextbookRecycling.com a few times. Their prices are absolutely good and they've bought back books that I haven't been able to sell anywhere else.

What time of the year is best to sell textbooks online?
May 19, 182 by GhostWriter | Posted in Higher Education (University +)
I require to sell my books on ebay since those textbook buyback sites don't even offer half of what my books are worth so I was wondering when trade is best for selling books on ebay.
Before and at the day one of the semester. Half.com (a partner of EBay) is a better site to try selling your books on then EBay itself, because it is noted for it's textbook section.

would you visit a website that users can buy and sell textbooks locally?
Jan 05, 2009 by ggprovision05 | Posted in Other - Advertising & Marketing
would you fall upon a website that offers users to sell their used college/university textbooks to other students among their schools and areas nearby? And students will be adept to buy used textbooks by searching the website for available books. Would you visit and tell your friends about it?
Yes if I was in college. I heard what you pay for textbooks now and am surprised anyone can give forth entangled with to go. You can post the site around campus, I sure many students would be interested in saving a few bucks.

How many students here either keep their textbooks or sell them back?
Aug 21, 2007 by williamdefalco | Posted in Higher Education (University +)
In my in the event that I use to sell the books back during my first two years of college, but upon entering my junior year I began keeping them for reference. It's really helped out whenever I'm in a corporation discussion (my major) with a friend and some point needs to be backed up. Or whenever something interests me on TV and it's great to look it up in the textbook. I be sure it's costly to keep the textbooks instead of selling them back, but I still feel it's currently well worth it, even as I'm currently onto my second major.
So what does everyone else do with their textbooks?
p.s. If there's a Half-prize books anywhere near you, stop by whenever there's a month left before the start of each semester. They usually have the textbooks that nobody ever purchased clearanced out, down to about $1.00 in to be sure. I LOVE getting textbooks in this manner, especially when they involve broad-ranging subjects like psychology and chemistry.
I keep the ones that I found to be a chattels read and for information. Others I know I could do without I sell them. I keep most of my books that are in my major. Buybackbooks.com lets you sell any books back. Psych books are so precious so I try my best to by a used one that wasn't written or highlighting in(because that's what i like to do)

How to sell textbooks?
Jan 28, 2009 by Cheryl | Posted in Other - Education
My college(s) only permit you to sell back used textbooks at a certain time. Thats highly inconvenient! I have some textbooks from 05-07 and some are still used by the schools, some have been replaced by newer editions.
Is it thinkable that some colleges, outside my area, in other states... still use the editions I am selling?
Where can I sell textbooks? The obvious answers would be Amazon and Ebay. However Ebay charges redicilous listing fees, and I am not unshakeable what Amazon charges to see items (do you know)? I do know both require a credit card.
Sorry, typo on mirthful. I do know how to spell it!
Sell* items
I dont believe in Facebook or MySpace.
