What are the best Gluten Free Cookbooks?
Dec 03, 2008 by LuLu | Posted in Cooking & Recipes
I was recently diagnosed with Celiac and require some help. I cook a lot, so I guess I'm happy for the challenge but I'm interested in what people think are the best books out there! Thanks
Influential Healthy Food Gluten-Free by Michael Cox, published in 2000 by Carroll Brown.
This is not your ordinary allergy/illiberality cookbook, but a collection of excellent, imaginative, well written recipes with a modern, often Mediterranean, feel. I use several recipes from this publication regularly even though I am not celiac. Some of the recipes are quite elaborate, for entertaining, others are simple, so I hope it will give you some ideas.

There are hundreds (if not thousands) of gluten-free cookbooks readily obtainable. You can check out a few of them here:

Where can I find free cookbooks that I can order online and receive by mail--not online or ebooks?
Oct 16, 2006 by tweety9943 | Posted in Cooking & Recipes
I don't wish for online cookbook or ebook cookbook please...because I can't stay too long on the my computer because of my eyes...so I am looking for cookbooks that I can receive for free by mail please.
You can go to Kraft foods and they send out a cookbook munitions dump every other month. It's free and has lots of easy recipes. And they do recipes for the season.

I hanker after cookbooks and I thought there was websites that you could go on and get some free ones.
www.kraftcanada.com
You get 4 cookbook syle magazines per year and they can send you good emails with recipes tailored to the preferences you select. I have been receiving them for at least 10 years now and have gotten some great recipes!! Best wishes and Convivial Christmas!

Bette Hagman writes "The Gluten Free Connoisseur" series of cookbooks. She has consistently good recipes. She also provides you with the recipes to her flour mixes to help disgrace the cost of gluten free cooking. So far I own "The Gluten Free Gourmet: Living Well Without Wheat," "The Gluten Free Connoisseur Bakes Bread," "The Gluten Free Gourmet Cooks Fast and Healthy," and "The Gluten Free Gastronome Makes Desserts."
They're all good.
When my husband was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, I was given permission to start Ninny Yaks Canada, a Yahoo! group. Please feel free to drop in and take a boo at the information we have. An even better site (they have more information) is Jerk Yaks, based in the US, also a Yahoo! group.
