Where can I get books for less than their retail price?
Oct 21, 2007 by {Jackie} | Posted in Books & Authors
I want to know where I can get books for less than their retail price. I live in PoCo, BC. It's a small city that's near Vancouver.
I usually go to Chapters and Coles for my books, but they all things considered sell their stuff at retail price, and I'm kind of on a low allowance.
Please include the whereabouts of the store, and what street it's on. Any servants is greatly appreciated!

If you are masterful to order books, online, I recommend amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, or ebay. On Amazon and B&N, they offer new and used books that are sold by other sellers. You can find some in the final analysis inexpensive books that are in great condition. Even when you have to pay for shipping and handling, it is often much cheaper than retail price.
Once, I bought a brand new enlist from one of Amazon's sellers for only 1cent, plus shipping and handling. Retail price for the book was about $18.00. I saved about $14.

If you mark up with Paperbackswap.com, you only pay postage for the books you order! You just post some of your books on the site (I think you have to post 9 to get some credits to begin with). Each reserve you order takes 1 credit, and each book that someone orders from you gives you one credit once you receive it! It's pretty cool!

Where can get my college books for less than the school book store is selling?
Jul 06, 2006 by nikkiv_03 | Posted in Higher Education (University +)
I audit NOVA Community College and they try and rip you off with the prices for their books. Im looking for a place I can get good quality books for cheap.
half.com Not only did I buy my books there, but I sold them back to the campus earmark store for more than I paid in the first place. Get your schedule, go to the bookstore to get the ISBN number, then check it out on half.com Be careful though, I all things considered wrote a brief description of the photo on the cover so I got the right edition. I saved hundreds every semester. Fitting luck!

Books about caring less about other people and focusing on your own individualism.?
Jan 26, 2009 by aimhigh1184 | Posted in Books & Authors
Are there any extensive well known books about caring less about what other people think and focusing more on yourself. Books that emphasize that caring what other people think results in the breakdown of your wellbeing and life. I don't mean psychology books or any of that material. I refer to Shakespearean plays, nobel prize sweet books, etc.

Is it less expensive to mail books when you move via Media Mail?
May 19, 3005 by Sue | Posted in Other - Home & Garden
I look over somewhere that it's less expensive to mail books when you move than to have them moved by the moving company. Does anyone know if that's true or not?
Thank you!
On average, above a certain weight and postal zone distance, USPS Media Mail is cheaper for books than UPS, FedEx, etc. However, if you're compelling household goods with a regular mover, it may be more convenient to keep everything together.
Check the rules if you go with USPS.
Media Mail is worn for books, film, manuscripts, printed music, printed test materials, sound recordings, play scripts, printed eerie charts, loose-leaf pages and binders consisting of medical information, videotapes, and computer-recorded media like CDs and diskettes.
