Jul 30, 2007 by AT | Posted in Books & Authors
I have some habituated to books that i can't resell because the college is asking for newer editions. What's the best way to get rid of the books that i don't need and get some money too? thanks
How about maddening varies online sellers like Amazon.com or Abebooks.com. Too be honest its hard to sell your used textbooks online or any other way. Perhaps you can donote them to a Euphemistic pre-owned book store and get some US tax deduction if you live in the US. I volunteer sometimes at a colorado used book store. Good Stroke of luck

Your defeat bet is ebay or craigslist. I think craigslist would be better because its local. Students from you school might look on there and you can make the barter at school. Besides with Ebay you might have to pay shipping.

bigwords.com tells you how much you can get for your books...if they're old editions, stores undoubtedly won't be selling them anymore, so you're not likely to get a very good deal. you could also try listing them on sites like amazon.com.

You could try Ebay, Amazon, Barnes and Gentlewoman, any used book store in your area.

Are there any used book stores in Vancouver that will buy used books in good condition?
May 20, 2009 by Emma | Posted in Vancouver
I'm looking to deliver up a few gently used books, all in good condition. Are there any book stores in Vancouver that will purchase my books? I'm not looking for a mammoth profit or anything, but want to get rid of a few books and would love to make a couple bucks, if possible.
"Hi"....well I'm not satisfied if this will be of any help but have a look at this site and perhaps you can try a few phone numbers and see if they buy books they have a large inventory of used and have to get them somewhere........

I'm planning to promote my books to a used book store, and I was wondering how much money I would get for them. I live in Ontario, Canada, the tax here is 15%, and I was wondering: How much on Easy Street can a book sell for, if it's used. The books I have are in semi-good condition, no scratches or bends. The only imperfection id that my name is on all of them, neatly, on the front and back pages. How much would it retail for at an ordinary used books store?
Employed bookstores do not buy every single book presented to them. They make a selection. They are very choosy and when they do make a selection they rarely give more than dialect mayhap 75cents to perhaps a dollar for a used book, barring exceptions. Don't get your hopes up too high.

Where can I buy several used books with one shipping rate?
Nov 08, 2006 by frolfer34 | Posted in Books & Authors
Most employed book sellers (like Amazon or Half) charge you a shipping rate PER BOOK, even if you buy all the books from one seller. It is daft, if you are buying 10 paperbacks for $1 each, to pay $35 in shipping fees since they will all come in one package.
Does anyone comprehend of any used book sellers that will charge a single bulk shipping price for a multiple book obtain?
Try amazon.com

Is there a charity organization that accepts used books?
Sep 09, 2007 by duchess7111 | Posted in Books & Authors
I calling at a school and many of the teachers were saying they have more books in their classrooms than they are able to use and I thought if there was a chairty or organization that gives cast-off books to people who need them we could all donate our extra books. Does anyone know of any such organization?
The Red Pettish may be accepting book donations, but I don't know.
Also, your local library should have a Friends of the Library organization that can either sell the books to help the library, or incorporate them into the library's collection.
Or maybe you could organize a booksale to benefit the school?
