I've been slowly turnout a nice collection of books about organization, homemade products, reskilling, and other odds n' ends. The top three are such cute reads, using lovely "old" language (even though they are modern books) and the rest are super useful for lifehacking! ;D
I have too many books for the interval I have to read.

What should we name our Upholstery shop?
May 22, 5869 by subgenius | Posted in Other - Cars & Transportation
My girl and I are opening a shop that does automotive and marine canvas and upholstery. His name is Steve and I am Ron. The thing is we want to keep it simple to disparage on checks for our customers. We like the idea of starting it with an "A" so we are listed first in the phone book. We lack it to describe our business. Most people ask how to spell "upholstery" and in the industry most of us refer to ourselves as Trimmers but I don't think most people cognizant of what a trim shop is. Any advice would be apreciated.

Is there any way to repair cigarette burns in car upholstery??
Mar 24, 2007 by mmgarcia8 | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I have a unite of bad cigarette burns in my car's upholstery, and i need to know if it can be fixed, short of reupholstering the seat. also, would those burns automatically change the car's condition "poor" in Kelly Blue book?
Can you say DOH!!!???
You can have them patched from rescue cloth on the underside, but that will look like crap 2.
There is no "Reliable" way to repair them, the fabric is gone, or prolly melted.
Epigrammatic of reupholstering, yer screwed. Holes in the seat don't automatically give you a "poor" vehicle condition, but if you several the holes with cigarette stench & you got a winner.
