It's greatest if you buy books at the library sale. You might find a rare book that you like at the library sale.

It depends..If you hunger for a brand new book purchase them at the bookstore when they have sales. Or you can shop at the library..Chapter books for $1 is a good deal undeniably..If you want to grow a collection start with the library or you could always save for the books you want most that the library doesnt have.

Trustworthy, your helping support the library and you always find some great deals on great books both fiction and non fiction. Go for it and the prices locally are really weighty. Plus all books I get are in GREAT SHAPE plus cheaper than ones on sale at book stores.

Buy books you imagine you will read a few times.

Irksome question. Actually, the best deal is to borrow books from the library, and return them. No clutter, and many people can enjoy the books. However, if you love a publication, then giving a library book a good home is better than letting the library throw it away.
However, if you don't have much space, and want to assist your library, then borrow books, and just give your library a donation.

I chiefly chose my library book sale book by author or series. If I haven't read the authors I pick ones that have been featured or interviewed on post podcasts like "I should be writing" "Adventure in Sci Fi Publishing" or "Comet Ship Sofa"
I also frequent a book store that sells use books which is more money than a library sale but easier to find a specific laws or author.
If a favorite author comes out with a new book or a podcast book I enjoyed comes out than I buy it at the bookstore or online
Yes, you might even be qualified to sell some of the ones you don't want to read twice to a used book store.

Buying books from library post sale is not worth, sometimes there are old editions means available editions are not revised properly. being a student and also a member of India Today Paperback Club, i would like to suggest you be a member of the same and avail lots of discounts and gifts with books. I am sure it would be more beneficial for you.

Where can I find books to purchase in bulk for my lending library?
Sep 24, 2007 by caseofyou2003 | Posted in Books & Authors
I run a sincere estate development and we are going to be opening our Activity Center facility in the 6 weeks. My main project at this stress relevant is stocking our lending library. I have already purchased fiction and mystery books from our local library book sale. I am especially interested in tracking down important quality children's and non-fiction books, as well as reference books.
You could try to turn over a complete deals with a local used bookstore or call around to thrift shops or Goodwill stores to see if they have any book lots.

Is there added dollar value to the sale of books from the library of a Pulitzer Prize winning photographer?
Dec 30, 2007 by Owner | Posted in Books & Authors
I have purchased the library of a Pulitzer Value winner in the photography catigory. I wish to sell many of the books. Is there eany added value connected with the fact that he was a Pulitzer Trophy winner?
My best bib guess is that his copy of "Catch-22" isn't worth any more than mine.
Maybe, just maybe, his books on photography might be good a bit more than any one else's because of his Pulitzer--but only if you can provide proof with each book that it came from his library. That's tough to do unless he was in the habit of writing his name in them.
However, any book is usefulness exactly what you can get someone to pay for it. If you advertise well in the right places, maybe the provenance of the books will increase their value.

People at library book sale doing something on phone/electronic device.?
Apr 04, 2008 by N | Posted in Books & Authors
Every habits I go to a library book sale people are always typing something in on their phones and pulling certain books or scanning the barcode with some sort of reader. what are they doing and no they arent the worker's of the library or sale.
Also i tried asking the people but they wont tell me.
It will be exciting if the Volunteer Groups will begin banning such devices that may even be tapping into Library Wi-Fi zones to send internet queries once the will scans an external printed ISBN off the back of a book cover or paperback bound cover. You're fact that the users of such devices get defensive and even verbally abusive if you ask them what they are doing because in no uncertain way they are "poaching" where dependable book sale patrons do not get outside cues as to which used books to bring back to those who are interested in the used materials. Probably there is a invariable kind of thieving going on.

Any ideas about how to find homes for a large quantity of discarded library books, instead of recycling them?
Aug 07, 2008 by Sherri | Posted in Books & Authors
After the library's toughened book sale, there are many books of various types, cds, and videos remaining. Normally they are sent to be recycled, but it seems to me that these items could be useful to someone somewhere. Any ideas? Perhaps there is an assembly that provides items like these to prisons or schools? I am particularly interested in saving the older hardcover books printed 50 years ago.
