Jan 02, 2009 by matt p | Posted in Religion & Spirituality
I crave to read some of the so called "lost books of the bible," the Gnostic Gospels, Dead Sea Scrolls, etc. Are there any good books or collections of these texts to hand? Is there a version of the bible out there with these texts included?
Most of what you aspire can be found here

Though translations of documents found among the Dead Sea Scrolls are still probably copyrighted and available only for purchase. Mudcat provided some virtuousness titles.

You can infer from all these books online at the NagHammadi Library.
The Nag Hammadi Library, a collection of thirteen ancient codices containing over fifty texts, was discovered in topmost Egypt in 1945. This immensely important discovery includes a large number of primary Gnostic scriptures -- texts once reason to have been entirely destroyed during the early Christian struggle to define "orthodoxy" -- scriptures such as the Fact of Thomas, the Gospel of Philip, and the Gospel of Truth.

Some of the Books you can read there are.
The Truth of Thomas
The Gospel of Judas
The Apocalypse of Peter
The Acts of Peter and The Twelve Apostles
The Apocalypse of Paul
The Apocalypse of James
The The world of letters of Peter to Philip
The Gospel of Truth
The Gospel of Mary Magdalen
They were all written around the same time as the Gospels in the bible but were solicitude recollections lost until 1945 when they were discovered. (Dead Sea Scolls).

Where can i buy the complete collection of the lost books of the bible?
May 22, 7511 by ChristLover | Posted in Books & Authors
I necessitate to get all of the lost books of the bible. is there anywhere to buy them all together? or do i have to buy each book seperatly? where to buy them? (other than amazon, they dont have all of them).
The mess with finding lost books is that most of them are still lost---literally hundreds of variant gospels alone were reported to have been in existence at one time or another, let alone other reputed biblical texts. Most of these have been lost, shunned, destroyed, or simply ignored by history.
No accurate count of the existing non-canonical books of the bible has probably ever been made.
What's currently readily obtainable through most booksellers are those that have not only survived , but remained relatively intact and re-printed. You might try searches in the abebooks.com and alibris websites for old or out-of-print, or independently published collections.

What are the lost books of the bible and what does each one talk about?
Dec 09, 2005 by mindtweak | Posted in Philosophy
There are no lost books of the Bible. Everything you neediness is right there. However, there are passages that mentioned that such and such were written in "the chronicles of the kings of Judah" or "the chronicles of the kings of Israel". Those are missing. But nothing that will block you from gaining a personal relationship with your Creator.

Is a book - The Lost Books of The Bible, copyrighted 1926 worth anything?
Nov 06, 2007 by Love being a Mom | Posted in Books & Authors
It is in ample condition and it was published by Alpha House Inc. It says on the title page that it is a special edition manufactured by Alpha Dwelling-place Inc. for distribution to World's Work subscribers only and is not for sale. It is one of many old books that was given to me when my grandmother died. Just curious if it has more than tender-hearted value.
No.There are no lost books that are canon.Chintzy.Tons of those have come out in the past 30 years.
