When selling books, is Powell's fair?
May 22, 629 by Jen | Posted in Portland
I have some books that I demand to get rid of and I was thinking about selling them to Powell's, but I've never done that before and I was wondering if Powell's is reasonable with the amount they give you for your books? Also, would any markings/wear take much value off?
I inform against online to powells, but if you are in Oregon you can drop them off at one of their locations. I have found that for selling online a huge quantity of books, powells is the A-one. They pay for shipping and as long as you are honest about conditions they are fair with the price. You will not get a lot of money, but I feel like they are fair. However for squiffed value books like textbooks it is best to sell them online through amazon.com. You can check the books that you think are valuable through amazon before active to powells.

Powells is outrageously reasonable with their prices, but if you want to get rid of them and Powells will not accept, than perhaps if you desperately need to get rid of them, go down to Eugene OR and go to Smiths Family Against Bookstore. They accept all sorts of books and are extremely friendly, so I would suggest them as well. Good Luck!

Are the books, by Tim Jeal, "The Boy Man" and "Baden Powell" one and the same? IE 2 Different publication date?

Both are the mortal story of Lord Baden Powell and have different covers, Titles and, I think, publication dates. Thank You
