How reliable are refurbished notebooks?
Aug 18, 2007 by MobileMan1 | Posted in Laptops & Notebooks
I'm reasoning of getting a refurbished notebook instead of a new one. Is it worth getting a refurbished one as opposed to a new one? Who makes the most reliable refurbished notebooks?
You are presumably better off just spending the money to get a new laptop. The refurbed laptops are fine, but usually don't have much more than a 30- to 90-day pledge. A new laptop will have at least a 1-year warranty.
However, if you are bent on getting a refurbed unit, check the major computer companies, such as Dell, HP, etc. Most all of them have online "retailer" stores with some pretty good deals. I, personally, would be very reluctant to buy a used/refurbed laptop from a "ma and pa" computer preserve.
Good luck!

Have anyone ever buy any kind of refurbished notebooks? Did the laptop works good as new for you guys?

I require advice if i should buy refurbished laptops. Thank you
Most refurbished laptops are nothing more than new laptops that were shipped with a bad component. The character gets it, realizes it is bad and ships it back to the manufacturer.
Once the manufacturer gets it, they replace the failed component and can no longer promote it as new. So they have to sell it as refurbished.
Honestly, the only difference between a new and a refurbished laptop is the refurb usually does not have as long of a warranty on it.

Where Do Refurbished Notebooks Come From?
Jul 09, 2009 by Rose girl | Posted in Laptops & Notebooks
Where do refurbished notebooks draw nigh from? This question comes up quite often among prospective buyers of refurbished laptops. It’s both a legitimate question and concern, and the answer to the subject depends on where you’re looking to buy the notebook from. If you buy a refurbished notebook directly from a manufacturer, its supply will differ from that which is sold by a third party merchant prince.
Notebook manufacturers have different sources through which they stock up their refurbished notebook inventories. Refurbished notebooks can come from customer returns. They might also finish in the money b be from orders that were canceled and never shipped. Sometimes they’re evaluation units. And in other cases they’re either overstock or discontinued models. Most of them are new, or fairly new, and none of them should have been tolerant of extensively. Regardless of the source, these products all undergo the factory refurbishment process. The notebooks are tested and if necessary, non-useful parts are replaced with working ones. Any cosmetic blemishes are also removed. Factory refurbished notebooks usually come with the same warranties as their new counterparts. So it’s almost like as if you’re buying it new except at a disregard.
